Chris & Jan Weaver
We reside on the premises at Sticklinch Farm and have lived in Somerset for 5 years. Our married daughter lives nearby in Wells with our first two grand children . We have two sons Andrew, currently an A&E doctor in Sydney and Robert, in his first year as a doctor in Bristol. Chris works from home for a global IT company and Jan still keeps her hand in as a Practice Nurse at a local GP surgery.
We enjoy the relaxed lifestyle in Somerset and have developed the 4 acre plot to accomodate our growing number of small farm animals. Our paddock extends up the hill at the rear towards West Pennard Hill. Our flock of sheep are very friendly and will allow you to tickle their chins with a little help from some sheep nuts! We have Hampshire Downs, Suffolk and Dorset varieties which this year (April 2010) produced 16 lambs between them. Also around the small holding are three little pigmy goats plus a new baby goat as well as a variety of hens and bantams producing fresh eggs. You could also try duck eggs or even goose eggs from our young Pilgrim geese which we hatched from eggs. We own a very friendly Border Collie called Lulu and some gorgeous looking cats.
Sticklinch lamb and chicken as well as vegetables and eggs are often available for purchase - please enquire.
We also have young pedigree Hampshire Down lambs for sale for breeding or grass keepers. Poultry - Pekin Cochins, SIlkie bantams and large Silkies are also for sale.
We breed British Shorthair Silver Tabbys. For details, photos or to be placed on the waiting list for this year's kittens (due in September) then visit our British Shorthair Silver Tabby website or email us at kittens@sticklinchfarm.co.uk
At the end of May 2010 we had our first baby pigmy goat. If you are interested in owning a pigmy goat then please contact us on 01749 899494.
